Last Saturday, Peter Osborn, Adam Butler, Francisco Cuevas, Enrique Zaldivar and myself had the opportunity to spend a full day with coaches from all over the State at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. It was a fantastic day of collaboration and learning from each other and two top notch instructors - Erik Oman / PSPL Technical Director and Tony DiCicco - former US Women's World Cup Coach.
To cap it all off a handful of us went out to dinner with Erik and Tony after the event and had the chance to connect and deepen our appreciation for what the game has given us the opportunity to do. And oh the stories that were told!
As we traveled home at the end of a long day, I was struck by the diversity of personalities and experiences represented at that dinner table and the one thing that had brought us all together: a common love and passion for the game and using it to help shape and mold the lives of those we have the privilege of coaching.
